The calendar presented on this site is the official Salesian calendar of the Salesian Society of St John Bosco “Parvum calendarium ad usum SDB” and “Addenda et varianda in Officio et Missa”, presented in the extended Latin version and in translation.
It is the general Roman calendar of the Catholic Church to which is added the Salesian Proper calendar approved by the Holy See.
As usual, in order to be usable for those interested, this calendar needs to be customised with the celebrations proper to places at continental, national, regional, diocesan, provincial level which have the approval of the local authorities (Episcopal Conferences, dioceses, etc.).
The Latin version can be viewed by clicking on the light grey title-tab “Parvum calendarium ad usum SDB et addenda et varianda in Officio et Missa”. As is customary, liturgical variations for celebrations are also indicated here.
To learn more about what is being commemorated, additional information has been added, including links to various external websites, which – with all their limitations and particularities – offer additional information. Please note that the content of these websites does not necessarily reflect the official position of the Salesian Society of St John Bosco.
